Color Blend

A lot of young mom's out there want to get their hair colored but have busy schedules and tighter budgets.

I have had a really popular color I've been doing lately where I have combined some highlights with a color melt. I call it the color blend. It blends the highlights complimentary with the melt. This helps brighten up the face and color but also lets the client go longer in between appointments.

Hair Cuts

Many women wonder how often they should get their hair cut. How often you get your hair cut depends on what you're doing with your hair

1. Are you growing it out?
2. Are you keeping it short?
3. Are you keeping the same length?
4. Thick Hair
5. Thin fine hair

1. If you are growing your hair out some people may tell you that a trim doesn't do anything but they are wrong. It is very important to keep up on a trim to keep your hair growing out healthy and strong. Now this doesn't mean you have to stick to trimming your hair every 6-8 weeks but I wouldn't go any longer than 8-12 weeks. This will help your hair get the length you're looking for but keep your ends growing out healthy and strong.

2. If you love having your short than keeping up with the cut every 4-6 weeks will keep your haircuts shape and style fresh or funky!

3. If you are keeping your hair length than getting your haircut every 6-8 weeks will keep your hair fresh with clean ends but leave it at the length you love!

4. Thick hair may require more maintenance in between haircuts if you decide you want to grow it out because thick hair requires more shaping and texture so it won't get too heavy as it grows longer. If you have thick hair you want to make sure your hairstylist specializes in cutting thick hair because some stylist think less is more because they don't have thick hair themselves. Since I have thick hair I understand that too much thinning can take away from what you have been blessed with!

5. When your hair is fine and thin it is important that your stylist has your hair in their best interest. You want to trust that your stylist will create a haircut that best suits the texture of your hair and face shape. With thin fine hair you will want to keep up on your hair trims to leave your ends strong and healthy to avoid your ends from getting dead and stringy.

This post is from my point of view and what I have learned over the years. Different stylist specialize in different areas. Did you like this post? Did it help you? I hope you feel better educated about cutting your hair that is best for your needs. Just remember that keeping up on your hair trims will be the best for your hair in the long run!
